Quote Florida State lands rising Class of 2013 running back Running back Ryan Green became the 12th member of Florida State's Class of 2013 when he committed to play for Jimbo Fisher and Co. on Friday night after his second trip to Tallahassee. The 5-10, 187-pound Under Armour All-American chose Florida State over Auburn, Notre Dame, Florida and Clemson. Plea deal for Buckeye duo, but scholarships stripped… for now Suspended shortly after an incident of tandem peeing & fleeing, Ohio State tight end Jake Stoneburner and offensive lineman Jack Mewhort have seen their legal situation come to a conclusion. College football playoff plan slogging toward resolution There appears to be a roadblock, or at least a slowing of the train, toward a playoff at college football's highest level. (remember, don’t underestimate the BCS’ ability to SCREW THIS UP) Links to each story on the linked web page. I've felt all along that there would be a major problem in finding the right way, if there is such a thing, to select the 4 teams that will play in the NCG each year. As long as the media plays any role in the selection of these four teams there will always be a bias vote by these yoyos which leaves us at the same situation that the BCS has now. It'll be contentious every year. The thing I keep thinking about is that MOST years there is no question about the #1 team after the bowl games. It was us or Texas in 2009, Aubs or Oregon in 2010, etc. Adding 2 more teams rewards teams that are not deserving. Wish there was a way to have a playoff game (or 2) only when it is warranted. So far, I don't think any of their plans are any better than what they already have as to who are the teams that will be chosen to play and that has been the primary problem from the beginning of this debate.
