Freshman quarterback Zeke Pike had been in the running for Auburn’s starting quarterback job as recently as this spring. Given the following slip-up, however, those chances may — or, may not — have taken a hit.

Multiple media outlets report that Pike.......

Out on bail.

Pike was suspended multiple times in HS. He was a high profile player that several schools backed off of because of his off the field issues.

Which we know is never a deterrent to the barn.

Sounds like another Stephen Garcia.

QB for the barn? If ever I've heard of a good excuse for drinking--that may be it!

Boy, ain't that the truth! Now, Chiznik will now make some pious comment about Auburn "values" and how they are standing by Pike. This will end up having an ugly ending, in the long run, I think. The Garcia comparison may be very apt.

But....but....God must have told him to. He's a good boy like all the barners.

Exactly!  Which is why the USCe guy's comment seems ironic.

I'm not sure why you put God in this. I think that is very sad on your part. Think before you print. RTR!

I think he was using irony, as Auburn coaches, fans players, keep saying " It's a God thing."

Does he live anywhere near Arkansas State?
Just a guess.

This has been quite a year for Auburn. They have four ex-players on trial for armed robbery, their best running back left school after being suspended from the team, 2 ex-players were recently shot and killed at a party, and now their prized 18 year old quarterback was arrested for public intoxication and has now gone back home for the summer supposedly.

That is one fine institution down in Lee County.  ???  :dunno:

Seems like the only things thriving down there are the alleged dying oaks.
