The largest city in Alabama can't balance a budget or finance a school system. Part of the problem is all of the smart people have moved out of B'ham into nearby metro areas like Hoover, Homewood, Vestavia, Trussville, etc. The nice neighborhoods still in the city limits send their kids to private school. I don't know how this is going to turn out but I do know who is going to pay for it. >:(
