Title: Nick Saban joins elite company

Saban, who turned 60 in October, already owns the distinction of being the only coach in the Associated Press poll era (dating to 1936) to win national championships at two schools.

This past January, Saban added his second national title in the past three years at Alabama to go with the one he won at LSU in 2003.

That's a total of three rings, putting Saban in the same exclusive company as Tom Osborne, Barry Switzer, Bud Wilkinson and Knute Rockne.

Of course, the gold standard is Bear Bryant's six national championships. Granted, Bryant carved out his legendary career in a different era when polls and wire services determined the national champion each year.

After this year, he'll be alone in 2nd, behind only CBB.  :D

I truly believe CNS will go down in history as the greatest coach in his era, and will be right beside Coach Bear Bryant. Priase the Lord for Mal Moore being smart enough to get him for us. RTR!

I promise that every decision made by CMM is heartfelt as the best decision for the masterplan to make Bama the #1 athletic program and #1 university in the nation. He has made strides never matched by any predecessor. But I guess there will always be a few detractors that cannot see the big picture. Roll Tide to CMM, a great man leading a great tradition.  RTR to CNS for bringing back a dynasty.
