Title: Penn State Alumni Respond to Child Rape Scandal
Post by: Marshal Dillon on July 14, 2012, 06:11:50 PM
Those alumni sure are outraged over this scandal.

Quote
Penn State received more than $208 million in donations for the fiscal year that just ended, the second-highest total in university history despite the upheaval after the arrest of Jerry Sandusky on child sex abuse charges.

Quote
The number of donors overall - which would include corporations and non-alumni - also rose slightly to more than 191,000. Donations included gifts for scholarships; as well as increases in giving to the football booster club and the annual student-organized dance marathon to raise money for pediatric cancer patients and research.

They'll need every penny of those donations to pay through nose for the soon to be filed law suits.

They had a painter remove the halo from above Paterno's head in a campus mural yesterday. They are taking little baby steps and see if that gets the rest of the nation off their back. It's like they feel no remorse over this whole child molestation scandal.

So, now they are saying they will take "some months" to decide on the statue because they don't want to let emotions cause them to over-react. That's interesting, since overreaction has not been a big problem there. Anyway, put it all together and you see a picture of the first home game of 2012: folks filing in past old Joe, cheering on the team, just another sunny fall day in Happy Valley.

Yep, it's a classic case of stalling & delay and wait for the whole thing to blow over and the media to go away. This whole bunch is nothing but a lot of low-lifes.
