It's good to see Sollers and the others squirming. This is playing out as a living hell for them.

In the end, they are going to apply a court-of-law level of proof to argue that the evidence doesn't prove Joe's involvement. Then the trials of Curley and Schultz, and probably Spanier, will produce testimony to further impugn Joe. The family will claim they are laying the blame at the foot of a dead guy who can longer defend himself, you know, Joe-the-victim. Unless someone else on the inside, like a secretary or assistant of some sort, comes forth with new evidence, the Paterno family, by which I mean the entire central PA region and a half-million alums around the world, will never accept that Joe did anything majorly wrong.

You're exactly right, but Freeh isn't basing his findings on just his opinion. I guarantee that a secretary and/or assistants provided him with info that he is basing his findings on, then it will come down to Paterno's word against theirs. In his case, we will be left to draw our own conclusions, in the end.

There is nothing the Paterno family can do at this point that will change the minds of non -PSU fans. The Paterno family has enough money to pay someone to write a report saying anything they want it to say. Their only hope of clearing joepa is if something comes out in one of the many court cases to come. I'm willing to bet that ain't gonna happen.

BINGO!! Let me see, Louis Freeh, a former federal judge, FBI agent and FBI Director whose team interviewed 430 persons, looked at a million documents, and have ZERO connection to PSU or the Paterno family gave a flawed report. However, the Paterno family will use their family lawyer to investigate and come up with the "real" truth about a member of their family. What a stupid joke and it just makes them look even worse.

I am still sticking with my prediction that the PSU football program will be suspended. I am downgrading the general possibility to 10%, and the possibility that the BOT will do it themselves to something less than 0%. I mistakenly thought that these folks are business/administration types that would not hardplay a bad hand. Instead they are playing 2s and 5s like they were Aces and Kings. On that prediction I concede defeat right now.

Yep, they won't even take down the statue, much less do anything of real substance. PSU in in total stall mode, knowing when the season starts, no one will be paying attention.
