This is some samples from the main PSU message board. Be sure to read the comments section.

Seriously

If some these kids stay so we can compete, they will become legends. We are still in TV. If we can pack the stadium to watch a competitive team, they’ll get the attention they need.

I assume that Urban Meyer has already called every single PSU starter

And had lunch with every PSU recruit?

Looking at the glass half-full

reduced depth of scholarship players may attract quality kids who want to start all 4 years. That’s pretty difficult to do on rosters that are bloated with 4* and 5* upperclassmen.

Every “expert” is saying 10-20 years for PSU to recover. BOB has his hands full, but if he can keep it together and stay competitive over the next two seasons… that will work. Two years from now, any new recruits with a redshirt are only looking at missing one season without a bowl game. Hoping this years squad stays together and plays “lights out”.

But more so, I hope PSU stays at the #1 graduation rate. The shot taken at PSU’s academics made me more sick than any of the sanctions.

More Denial.

Penn State’s Football Letterman’s Club has made itself heard several times since the Jerry Sandusky scandal hit the program, and its leaders did again on Monday following the announcement of sanctions by the N.C.A.A. The club’s president and vice president, the former players Tim Sweeney and Justin Kurpeikis, released a statement railing against the measures levied by the N.C.A.A.
