Title: Alabama Commitment Ruled Ineligible-SIAP
Post by: Marshal Dillon on August 08, 2012, 03:53:21 PM
Hope he gets his grades up and can return next year.

Quote
Hill, at 6-foot-6 and 352 pounds, was a consensus three-star prospect out of St. George's High in Collierville, Tenn., who committed to Alabama in November. His absence leaves the Crimson Tide with just two offensive linemen from the class of 2012: Caleb Gulledge and Brandon Greene.

Hill is the lone casualty from Alabama's 26-man signing class. The other 25 were all present and accounted for when the Crimson Tide opened camp last week.

Well....I'm just glad he didn't have a summer semester under his belt before they decided he was ineligible.

Now he was a 3* and didn't make it. Will we be able to back sign somebody else to scholarship? It just came to my mind we won't have as many commits as other schools. RTR!

We signed 26 but only 25 schalorships are available. If he had made his grades and was cleared by the NCAA one of the 26 would have to grayshirt and enroll next January. There is a good chance the coaching staff has know for a while his grades were a concern.
