Title: Georgia Depending on Freshman Running Backs for Running Game
Post by: Marshal Dillon on August 12, 2012, 04:21:29 PM
Unless Georgia has a huge surprise at RB, I think the running game will struggle.

Quote
At least three freshmen are on track to earning key roles in Georgia's offense.

John Theus is the current starting right tackle, while Keith Marshall and Todd Gurley could play lead roles in a tailback committee.

Coach Mark Richt said Friday he's not afraid to have a freshman take over at tailback.

Fumbles may decide their early games!  My money's on USCe in that matchup.

There running game will depend as much on their offensive line as these freshman running backs. Last year, the "O" line struggled at times. Georgia will have to hope they've gained the experience needed, not just for the push needed for the running game, but also the protection needed for Murray to be successful in the passing game. I have my doubts. I think SC will be the class of the East this year.

My money is on the Fulmer Trophy candidates along the offensive line.

Will be hard for them to be that good in ankle chains.

I learned one thing this spring and Fall. It is more important to win than to discipline. I just can't see what is going on for Georgia. RTR!
