Title: Official Week 1 Depth Chart
Post by: Hannibal Lecter, MD on August 28, 2012, 12:25:44 PM
A few surprises including walk-on Kelly Johnson running 1st at H-back:

Lots of the freshman made the 2-3 deep.  It wasn't because we didn't have talent there.

Despite a few injuries, we made it to game 1 with most of the critical players healthy.  H-back is a surprise, but probably means little.

Roll Tide.

A few surprises for me. I thought Q. Dial would be starting on the D-line. Also, either CJ Mosely or Nico Johnson not a starter, now that is a surprise.

Nico is starting.  Quinton is close; will play LOTS, I'll bet.

In Saban's defensive scheme down and distance determines who is in the game.

Looking at the depth chart, practice is important. Look at the 2/3 that made it. To play, you must be able to learn fast and preform. The best will be on the field.

When I see this list it is breathtaking. 11 players will have to work together this year to form the greatest they can be. I don't think top or big names will win this year. It is going to be a championship year. RTR!

WOW!! A lot of freshmen on the 2-deep. That tells me of the true talent in this last class considering 3 of the last 4 before that were #1 classes themselves. UNBELIEVABLE!

I knew Saban was a master recruiter before coming to Bama, but my expectations have been surpassed.

Just the reputation of winning he built while at the Who has allowed them to continue to recruit at an amazingly high level even with that nutjob Miles as a head coach.
