Title: Ex-Vols WR Rogers & His Dismissal From UT
Post by: Marshal Dillon on August 28, 2012, 08:25:00 PM
Well, I'm shocked to read this and the fact he admits it.

Quote
According to his new coach, All-SEC wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers will be in uniform Thursday night for Tennessee Tech's season opener against Hampton, less than a week after Rogers was suspended by Tennessee and barely 96 hours after his arrival on Tech's campus. First, though, he had a little talking to do, confirming for reporters Tuesday that his tumultuous departure from Knoxville was the result of multiple failed drug tests.

"There were a couple of drug tests," Rogers said at a press conference, with Tennessee Tech coach Watson Brown looking on. "And it was about me being a young, immature guy and those are things that I've got to work on. I plan to do that. When it came to review my next school and I met coach Brown I most definitely felt like he was a guy that could help me with all my things and the situation that I had going on."

Looks like the Vol fans don't hold a grudge.  ;)

A threat? What are they going to do, kick him out of school? Revoke his moonshine license? Not let him make out with his fist cousin? Send him to Penn State?

Dude is a straight up thug, and that's not going to change. Expect to see his name in the papers often. Will he ifnish the season with Tenn Tech or the county correctional squad? Only time will tell.

Yeah, he will probably end up sharing a cell with Dyer somewhere.

The kid has grown up a lot in the last 96 hours, you can tell that by listening to him.   :P

I hope the kid gets his act together. No one wants to see a train wreck. I'm not sure if he has grown up or if he just out of options. I hope he has grown up. He has the potential to play on Sunday so maybe he realized that fact on his way to Cookville,TN and TN Tech.

He has more than a drug problem.

He is totally self centered

Has no respect for authority (or anything else)

And is a toxic influence on his team mates.

That's a pretty good sum up of this kid's problems.
