Talent is talent you can either play or you can't. I think it get's a team better ready for the Big 10 grind more than playing a school like oh say Miami of Ohio. I also think come Bowl selection time. Seeing Michigan played Alabama helps their cause for a good Bowl game. CNS has taken years of trial and error to develop his system. Recruiting HS head cases and indoctrinating them to his style of play is one thing. Getting them to live their lives as good men that do the right thing when no one is looking is considerably more hard. I watched our team dispatch five kinds of Hell on Michigan, and it was done in a businesslike, almost systematic manner, while the highlight for Michigan was the rehearsed tribal dance they performed before the game. For years they bragged about "Big Ten football" and how great it was. Plus, they had a holier than thou attitude towards Southern teams. Now, with the pervert scandal at Penn State, the many butt whippings from SEC teams, and NCAA scandals at Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Indiana (basketball), & Minnesota, they are in total denial and confusion. :dog: |
