Title: Forum Board Category Suggestions Post by: SUPERCOACH on March 03, 2011, 12:01:57 PM I would love to hear everyone's suggestions as to how we should organize our board. Here are my thoughts and some guidelines:
Now let's hear everyone else's thoughts and suggestions. Title: Re: Forum Board Category Suggestions Post by: ssmith general on March 03, 2011, 12:04:07 PM Lol. I literally just posted on the moderator page asking about how you wanted to do this.
Great minds. Title: Re: Forum Board Category Suggestions Post by: BAMADCHAMPSHIPS on March 03, 2011, 01:15:05 PM It's your board Supercoach. The rest of us are just living in it. Category's are good. Myself will be primarily on the football/sports board.

True... but it would be a lonely place if I were in here by myself. :) Title: Re: Forum Board Category Suggestions Post by: 2Stater on March 03, 2011, 02:16:28 PM That's one area where Woollyal could improve. There are too many boards there.

I thought the same thing when I visited over there last weekend. Title: Re: Forum Board Category Suggestions Post by: Chechem on March 03, 2011, 02:34:02 PM The easiest thing to do is mimic what TS had. Seemed to work: Halftime, Politics, etc.
People are used to that and know how to use them. Title: Re: Forum Board Category Suggestions Post by: 2Stater on March 03, 2011, 02:48:06 PM The easiest thing to do is mimic what TS had. Title: Re: Forum Board Category Suggestions Post by: ricky023 on March 03, 2011, 02:57:45 PM The main boards seperating recruiting, and religion, politics and what we have now. I think that would be about right to me. JMHO. RTR!

Football Recruiting Halftime Politics Religion And if it wouldn't be too much - maybe boards for baseball and basketball. Perhaps an "all other sports" board? Is that too much? I just know that when I come on, I know that football is the most interesting board for me and that's where I would head. Anyway - just my $.02 :) Title: Re: Forum Board Category Suggestions Post by: Crimson Phoenix on March 03, 2011, 06:07:14 PM The easiest thing to do is mimic what TS had. Except people won't post serious threads in Halftime normally...so more could be included with the political forum...religion and social science categories for the smart people. :D Title: Re: Forum Board Category Suggestions Post by: Chechem on March 03, 2011, 06:23:08 PM The easiest thing to do is mimic what TS had. You're right; Halftime was a pacle where front-page threads were sent if they weren't unworthy enough for the dungeon. ;D Title: Re: Forum Board Category Suggestions Post by: BAMAWV on March 03, 2011, 07:45:17 PM The easiest thing to do is mimic what TS had. Except people won't post serious threads in Halftime normally...so more could be included with the political forum...religion and social science categories for the smart people. :D Seriously, when Halftime first started, people posted serious threads (science, religion, history, politics, you name it.... along with the light (jokes, conversation, noncontroversial subjects). After Halftime was split off by itself, the trend was to post only very light and entertaining subject matter there. The only other option was the Political forum. So we began to lose threads about science, history, religion, etc. |
