Steen suffered the embarrassment of losing a shoe during Saturday’s win over Michigan, and it put him on the sideline for a couple of plays while he and a trainer got the shoe back on.

Fortunately, Steen is good natured and was willing to tell the story Tuesday after practice. He smiled as he told it.

“Somebody stepped on my foot when I was diving out to block a guy,” Steen said. “I couldn'’t get it back on.” ...

During the broadcast, Brent Musburger noted that Chad Lindsay took Steen's place.  When Anthony returned, Musberger commented that Steen was driving his man all over the field; Fowler rambled for a big first down through the hole.
