Saying Nick Saban was fiery during practice Wednesday and afterward in his briefing with reporters is about like saying the sun is hot.

Me telling you he was hot and bothered just doesn’t do it justice. That’s because he appeared to have much more of a purpose than yelling at his defensive backs and then hammering away at those of us who cover the Crimson Tide.
...

Saban, entering room: “How is everybody today?” Us: “Good.” Saban: “May not be after I get done with you.”

Today, scouts from the New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars and the Buffalo Bills attended Alabama’s practice. During the media viewing period, they watched the linebackers and took notes before moving on to the offensive line. They were allowed to stay as long as they wanted, so it’s likely they paid at least some attention to every position.

I thought the press access to practice is limited to warm-up reps?  ???

Well coach was right. Like I've been saying these minds are impressible and all this newspaper junk is wild. RTR!

It is never hard to see where CNS stands on an issue.

I think he would not approve of our pick 'em contest.

I'm going to revise my poll and rank Alabama out of the top 10.  I don't want to be accused of presumption.

That might be the only part he likes.  Maybe we should go delete our score predictions before he sees them.

The media is allowed about 15 minutes and then they must leave. CNS gives NFL unlimited access to practice and film sessions.

He can replace those media guys just like those players on the field.

If you want to see a real idiot's take on it, check out CBS's Gregg Doyel's article.

I can't believe this moron and others can't realize that CNS is working the football team, not the media. Dumbazz!

I think CNS used to say that teams make the most improvement from the first game to the second.  He knows there are things that happened in the Mich game that need fixing.  If the team is not working on them with the sense of urgency and purpose he wants... well you can figure his reaction.
