Title: "Keys to the Game: No. 23 Florida at Texas A&M and No. 7 UGA at Missouri"

FLORIDA WILL WIN IF: Its secondary is as good as advertised. First-year A&M coach Kevin Sumlin and offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury have talked about establishing a running game, about making sure they get tailback Christine Michael involved. But this is still the same offensive braintrust that learned at the feet of Mike Leach and made Case Keenum Case Keenum. Michael or no Michael, talk or no talk, if the Aggies don't throw to set up the run it'll be an out-and-out shock.

GEORGIA WILL WIN IF: the Bulldogs play like they're not playing the game they are.

What that means: This game is a big deal. Missouri's first SEC game ... at home, at night, at Faurot Field, where many other favorites have come to see their conference or even national championship hopes dashed (we see you, Oklahoma) ... in front of a crowd that promises to be one of -- if not the -- craziest, loudest crowds in Missouri history ...

Both TAM and Mizzou will be playing with a chip on their shoulders after being told all of last year that they couldn't compete in the SEC.  They will have prepared for these games.  Whether they can pull it off, though, remains to be seen.  I think Mizzou has the better chance, because TAM has a new coach and a new scheme, although Georgia is arguably better than Florida.

Sumlin likes to score lots of points and I'm not so sure Florida can score lots of points.

Somehow I think Georgia pulls this one out but I have no good reason for that feeling, maybe just Bulldog luck.

UGA has WAAAY more talent than Missouri, but Richt has a way of wasting that talent during games.  On paper, Georgia should win by 10.  Instead, I think they'll squeeze past Missou, barely.

If they approach the game against Mizzou QB Franklin like Bama did against Robinson, they have a chance. Unfortunately for them, I don't think they have the secondary to pull it off. I think they will win in spite of that. I see Murray having a big game in a high scoring affair.

This may be where we see if Dorail Beckem Green (Spelling?) is as good as advertised.  This kid is a freakish athlete in terms of physical skills.  If he has the maturity and the football IQ to match...could be dangerous.  If the GA secondary does not come ready, they could be in for a long day.  I do think that GA can pull it off because they do have the ability to score and I don't know that Missouri can stop GA as much as GA can stop them.  I agree that the crowd could be a major factor in this game. Should be a fun one to watch.

Yeah, I picked Georgia to win because they should with their talent and I just do not see Florida beating A&M. UF looked lost against mighty Bowling Green (14-23 in current coach's 4th year).  If UF loses ugly, Muschamp's fanny will be getting very warm from the hot seat.

I'm not sure the East in the SEC is as strong as first thought. We will find out of course but, also looking back could they have been holding back some? I don't know but Muschamp better get it going or that hot seat will be on fire. RTR!

I just talked to a buddy of mine who happens to be a UGA fan. He said Georgia was playing possum against Buffalo.  :eyeroll:

They do that a lot.  They did the same thing in the 2nd half against LSU last year.  :dunno:

Georgia seems to be good for at least a stumble a year and Missouri can churn out the upsets and with all of the emotion and almost an odd road trip despite it now being a conference game I can see Georgia being off enough to lose here outright .

Fl. &  aTm
This is one of those situations where a home opener might not be a total indication of how a team will play this season as they will play way over what we will likely see the rest of the way but the Gators get a bad draw here having to step into a building that is tough to begin with and then pile on that it is such a significant game for the home team.

Maybe they should get them a new mascot, a possum, and call him Pogo. :dunno:

I think Georgia will play well against Missou.  If not, I'm done with them.  They seem to underachieve every game, and I'm tired of picking them.

Yeah, we need the better teams in the conference to step up a little because the SEC reputation is at stake. Unless Florida can improve a bunch I'm afraid they will lose 2-3 games this year.
