Welp, things could be getting a lot worse for LSU regarding the injury to offensive lineman Chris Faulk. The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports Thursday that Faulk is likely to miss the season with a major knee injury.

The school, however, has not offered an official statement on the subject.

If true, there’s no understating the loss. Faulk is projected to be a first-round pick for next year’s NFL draft.

This is BIG.  It's the kind of injury luck that makes accurate preseason-predictions impossible.

Not only is he a very good OT, but he is the left tackle and guards the blind side of the QB. I think this could be a game changer for LSU.

It already almost cost them a QB.  Mettenberger had a mild concussion from a hit last Saturday.  After Faulk was injured, the coaches shuffled the OLine.

Good luck on that at this stage of the season. Trying to replace a NFL first rounder and learn the position while the season is going on will be a HUGE challenge. I doubt it will happen. Hope the QB can run good.

This is equal to, tantamount to, and as terrifying as C.K. going down for the season.  Major blow.
