For quite a while - most of last season, in fact - that was the story among Auburn fans and even Auburn's athletic director. That the Tigers former coach had faltered so badly in recruiting his final year that it was causing the Tigers' struggles even three full seasons later.

There were no seniors. There was little quality depth. And it was all Tuberville's fault.

Does that explain Mississippi State 28, Auburn 10, too?

Seems like a tough sell to me. Mainly because on that field in Starkville on Saturday were several highly recruited, very talented players in AU gear - almost all of them signed by Gene Chizik and his staff in one of Chizik's four recruiting classes...

We don't demand enough as fans. Everyone needs to stop with this, "ALL IN" BS. We should not be all in because all in with a coaching staff and team like this is admitting that we love accept mediocrity. For too long all you sunshine pumpers have said things like "I Believe" and "War Eagle no Matter What." You need to raise your expectations. Bama fans don't take losing. They won't accept it. As a result they have a heirarchy of power that also won't accept it. You need to let Chizik, Jay Jacobs and everyone else know that losing is not acceptable. This staff and these players need to earn your support before you blindly give it to them.

Our answer to Nick Saban was hiring Gene Chizik? That's like combatting China's economic prowess with a lemonade stand. STOP BEING DILLUSIONAL. As a fanbase we need to demand more because if we keep putting up with mediocrity, that's what we'll continue to get. I'm not all in. I can't be. It's not fair for Chizik and everyone else to expect me to throw my emotions under a bus every week. You all need to wake up.

Lots of truth there.  This is the same Iowa State coach we expected.

I'm off the Chizik train. I'm done. He had the one year fluke with a senior laden, Tuberville recruited team led by Superman and Batman and got us our national championship. He will be forever beloved and treated like a king in Auburn once he is no longer the coach.

Kiehl Frazier is worse than Kodi Burns. He's worse than Chris Todd. He's worse than Clint Moseley. At least with Moseley, he'd fall down fast enough to keep the clock moving. The game would at least end quickly. Frazier prances around like a retard and throws it directly to the other team.

But failing is quickly becoming the norm for this Auburn team under Chizik.

And now, there's no one left to blame.

I just don't know if you fire a coach who won a NC two years earlier. Plus, would Auburn with all their high & mighty talk about their "values" really hire Petrino with all the baggage he carries?

I guess I have found myself in an awkward position.  I should probably pull for Auburn to win this week so that they don't fire the clown.

I would not bet on that. I have  had relatives who attended Auburn and one who was an  professor there. They really see themselves as morally superior to Alabama and its fans. They see Auburn so above all the peons of this state, like us. They see Auburn in almost holy terms, very elitist.

Funny.  I think of them in terms of being inbred morons, entire populations of diminished IQs, and suffering from low-self-esteem characteristics.  In short, Hutterites!
