Title: Savannah State could cost Fla St a shot at the BCS Championship Game
Post by: Jamos on September 12, 2012, 08:15:49 AM
A funny thing happened Saturday in Tallahassee. Florida State's run at a national championship may have ended before it began.

If FSU goes undefeated, including ACC Championship game, I believe they will be in the BCS Championship over a one-loss team from the Big-Ten or Big 12. Not sure about the Pac Ten. I think SEC is in regardless.

A number of ESPN's guys are predicting that no SEC team goes undefeated this year, so they're picking some combination of USC, Oklahoma and FSU in the championship.  Wishful thinking on their parts.

If they run the table, and so do the Alabama-LSU and USC-Oregon winners from Nov. 3, Florida State likely will be the odd team out. If they run the table and no one else does, there's still a chance that one-loss SEC and Pac-12 champions could jump them into the top two spots in the final BCS rankings.

The writer covered it.  That was his salient point.

We simply need to just keep winning.  And I'm trying to focus on enjoying every win.  We should beat Arkansas by 20-24 points, but I'll be happy if we get out of there by 7.
