Another good one KD. RTR+

I went through puberty watching Joey Heatherton roll around on a Sealy Posture-pedic mattress. That was Lance Alworth's woman. Later in life I drank with her in an afterwork bar in Midtown Manhatten. She always had this 5 foot nothing guy with her. I once asked him if he bought his suits at the little boy's dept. at Sears. We flirted around but I never pulled the trigger. There are some things a Bama fan just won't do.

Fiori's 33 and Park (Northwest corner) -- You would remember the ceilings.

Remember it well. Used to go in there all the time in the late '80s, when I worked across the street at 3 Park.

Carmichael's, I remember. Not the other one. Some other ones up town from there: 42th Precinct, Poncho & Lefty's, Second Ave. Sports Bar, the place at The Plaza...This cool Irish place on 3rd in the 20s...Mostly, though, Smith & Wollensky and Ben Benson's.
Speaking of Fiori: We had our office Christmas party there one year.

Carmichaels had the Ford Models crowd. I rode with Naomi Campbell the very first time she ordered a limo. Irish bartender everyone in NYC knew--Andrew. Scott and Pierre were the night bartenders at Fiori's. I still know how to reach Scott. I used to call Fiori's from that payphone on the street end of the bar during the Happy Hour crush and say, "Hey Scott, this is BAMAWV at the end of the bar. How about another Budweiser"

I owned a Commercial Debt Collection Agency. Businesses owed money by other businesses. But I ended up specializing in investigative services for law firms,-- asset location, tracking companies, tracking people, etc.  I've run down arms merchants-- Adnan Khashoggi, even Ollie North in a Florida-Nicaragua thing.

I sold to a firm in NOLA. Went back to drilling about 15 years ago. BTW, my client on the gun thing was Heckler and Koch (H&K).

My limo has a load of firewood in the back at present.

See if you like this story X. My client was Bijon, an exclusive men's clothing store on 5th Avenue in NYC. You shop by appointment only. $1000 tailored shirts, $18,000 suits, $1800 shoes. This billionaire stiffed them for $80,000 or so. I hassled evryone he knew until I finally was given his number in London. I was then referred to his Atty in London. I called London and it turned out the Lawyer/Solicitor/ something else was a Arkansas grad. We talked about Bama-Arky football, hunting, and fishing for about an hour and then he assured me the guy would FED-EX a check. Done. We kept in touch and I ended up getting some work from him. I took the NYC Alabama Alumni Assc. to Fiori's after our Christmas Party in 1994.
