Title: Statue of Alabama football coach Nick Saban to be unveiled A-Day Post by: pmull on April 01, 2011, 02:42:34 PM TUSCALOOSA -- A statue of Nick Saban will be unveiled at approximately 12:40 p.m. on A-Day outside of Bryant-Denny Stadium along the Walk of Champions, Alabama announced Friday afternoon.
It will be the fifth statue joining national championship coaches Wallace Wade, Frank Thomas, Paul Bryant and Gene Stallings. But suppose we have a coach that wins a NC, but then gets convicted of, in the extreme, child molestation. We are stuck with a "Chester the Molester" statue beside BDS. Just feel that statues should be erected after a coach's tenure or death.

I had someone leaving for another school like Coach Fran did. At the time the Wallace Wade statue was erected he was not, nor was he ever, an embarrassment to the school.
