Title: Mobile Sports Radio
Post by: cbbama99 on April 01, 2011, 03:00:22 PM
Any Mobilians here on the board listen to the local sports radio on WNSP? I listen to both the afternoon and morning shows and I am beginning to wonder if any some of the announcers have any clue what they are talking about. The morning show guys yesterday were talking about the HBO special, and one of them (I think it was Lee Shirvanian) was saying that he didn't watch it, but from what it sounded like from other people, the guys sounded disingenuous. My first question, how would know if you didn't see it? They and others on the station seem to really be taking up for the barn, even those most of them say "I don't have a dog in the fight."

You make me cry, CAT.  :'(

Yeah, I know. I am trying not to be one of THOSE guys, but I do like to hear some intelligent sports talk sometimes and WNSP is the only show going in Mobile. The afternoon show is actually pretty good with Pat Greenwood and Randy Kennedy ( I disagree with them a lot, but they don't come off as homers and, well, idiots most of the time).

I listen to both when I'm not out of town working. Both shows could be better that's for sure. I'm very glad Mcready and his side kick are gone. What ever Mississippi station he went to can have him. Total jerk most of the time.

it ain't from Mobile but the host are a lot better imho only problem is
it's mostly national stuff but they hate au about as much as we do so they bash them a lot  ;D

Sirius radio is worth it.  You can choose among lots of channels, and you don't drive out of the coverage area on trips (within this galaxy).  :P

I was talking about XM in the car.  I don't do the mobile/cell/myspace stuff.

That would make for a dicey drive home down Airport Blvd at 5 p.m.  ;)
