What election?

Obsessed? I'd prefer to call it civic minded. If political comments were somehow interferring with the football discussions something would need to be said. 1 evry 50 posts doesn't seem intrusive. Conservatives are bombarded daily by liberal slants-- movies, TV shows, and main stream news. An occassional comment or cartoon isn't going to kill anyone and is easy to simply pass on by to the next post. But page one of the liberal play book calls for silencing anyone that doesn't agree with their mantra. We moved it downstairs out of the way, so we could concentrate on football. I notice you don't mind foregoing football posts for weather, fishing, and anniversarys. Are they exempt?

OK, OK, enough is enough gentlemen.  Henceforth there shall be no politics, including jokes, in any forum other than the Presidents Mansion.  There will be no discussions of any kind not relating to sports in The Quad.

I will move the Daily Thread down to Ferguson.  Since the Big Fish thread covers just about everything I will leave it in Ferguson for now, but no more political posts in it either or I will move it down to the President's Mansion.

I really don't see what the big deal is in either case, but it seems to be a continual point of friction so let's all just agree to cut it out and enforce the rules strictly going forward.  It is hard to enforce any of the rules if we don't enforce them all equally.

I'm referring to myself here as much as anyone.  I'm guilty of the occasional political wise crack, and I also post non-sports stuff in the Daily Thread.  But no more.

For the record, I'm not sure what election WV was referring to, but I was talking about the upcoming election between MD and WALL-E for President of News Articles.
