I'm just a little nervous with some of these crazy games.uK is up on SC 17-7 and Towson leads LSU 9-7. We need to focus tonight.

Texas just scored another TD.  5 TD's in this game and we are still in the 1st Quarter.  Bama has only given up 3 TD's ALL YEAR.  And some of those were by the back ups.

Towson is leading LSU.  ???

Oh wow.  Someone actually made a tackle in Oklahoma.  It was after about 40 yards, but still.  The play before that went for about 100 yards with no tackle.

I understand why teams play hurry up spread offense. That said these teams do this, I think because they have no D. Why would a good dc let this happen to his side of the ball. If you have 3 and outs the D is worn out before half time. Plus these teams have trouble inside the 10 because the o line is spread to wide. Just watch this OM team try this tonight.

I think AJ is going to have a big night.  I also think I am going to be low on the tie breaker.  I was expecting us to run the ball a lot to keep them off the field.  I figured this would run the clock and we would not get as many yards as we could against these guys.  But, they have decided to sell out to stop the run so far.  We are countering by throwing the ball more than we normally would.  The points and yards are about to start flowing for Bama.

Good first half.  If Cooper becomes a consistent threat and forces teams to focus on him the offense is going to be unstoppable.

You have to give OM credit. Their coaches had a great game plan and they have made adjustments. Their defense has been playing with passion and fire and have been making plays. This is a well-coached team and they are better than that Tx game showed. They are playing out of their minds tonight.

After we blew out our first 4 opponents this season, I found myself somewhat missing the games where there was excitement because the outcome was in question.  I'm now wondering what I was thinking.

Ole Miss is much improved over the last few years.

Just as a reminder, in 09 when we won the national championship we squeaked by an average Ky team and won against a bad Tn team because of 2 blocked kicks. Every season has its unexpected pitfalls.

We are going to win this game but we are not going to come anywhere close to covering the point spread.  And it has been a costly one.  We have the bye week and then 5 tough games.  These next 5 games are going to be tough, especially if we don't quit loafing and start preparing better.  These guys seem to have that entitlement attitude that the 2010 team had.  Luckily there is still time to turn that around.  Maybe this game will be the wake up call we need to get their attention.

I think we opened with Michigan and beat the snot out of them, and then no one has really challenged us since.  They may have become complacent just going through the motions waiting for the "big" game.  Well if they mess around and drop one of these little games it will be very unlikely that we get a mulligan this year.  Even a big win over LSU won't look that impressive (if we can get it) after their struggles so far.

Man the injuries are stacking up.

I agree 100%. Sometimes when a team gets hit in the mouth, it provides a wake up call. And this team needs one. Too many accolades and press for the guys causes lack of focus.

I hope they start taking these teams more seriously. If the last two weeks have taught us  anything, it's that ANY team can be beaten... Including them.

Don't blame it on WALL-E.  He tried to tell me but I wouldn't listen.

On the bright side, remember a few years ago when a bad game against an SEC opponent meant a loss or narrow escape and knowing that we couldn't compete with Tennessee, LSU, and Auburn rather than a 19 point win?   I don't miss those days.

They didn't play up to their potential tonight and that could certainly cost them a game if it happens against a better team than Ole Miss, but the outcome was never really in doubt.  AJ played well, Cooper is emerging as a star, and a young D overall played pretty well against a no-huddle offense for the first time this year.  I'd feel better with a 50-0 win, but a game like tonight's could be beneficial down the road.
