Case Nixon is now pitching for the Tide. This is his first appearance of the year. We must be saving our staff for Vandy.

Walks the first batter he faces.  Not the way you want to start.

I am always concerned about mid week games like this. This is a big game for Samford and it is a bump in the road for us on our way to Nashville.

The 2 run HR helps. I think that is only our 9th HR of the year.

Are you watching  gametraker? If so go back and look at the play by play in the top of the 5th and tell me what happened.

Forget that, the've  gone gack and changed it now.  Originally they show the first three batters making out then a 4 batter drives in a run.

I hope they take a little battting practice before taking on Vandy.

Bama hit the ball hard against the Hogs but couldn't get any of them to fall in, but it was kinda pitiful tonight.  The weather will be good the rest of the week so maybe they will get in some good work for Vandy, they're gonna need it.

Typical mid-week baseball for Bama, they have always struggled with these games.
