I'm surprised to see Florida ahead of West Virginia.  Ohio State is obviously overrated.  Undefeated in the Big 10... so what.  :eyeroll:

WVU has given up 110 pts. in 2 weeks. Texas was still untested except for Ole Miss. They should have dropped 10 spots giving up that many points at home.

Settle down there Beavis.  I didn't say I would put them ahead of Florida.  It was more of a comment on all of the media hype they are getting.  I dropped them down 5 spots after they gave up so many points early this year, and they haven't made my top 10 since (I don't think).

WVU's "D" line are all brand spankin' new 'tards. The rest of their "D" (loosely) is looking to them for leadership. USCe, Miss St, and UF would each rush for 400 yds. on them.

On the serious side (for HL), there is a huge divide between The SEC 6, Oregon, and maybe ND-- and the rest of the FBS. I have made it my life's work to see Bama slaughter ND on a big stage. My campaign for them begins today. One man-- one vote!

I'm not sold on WV either. Good teams don't give up 40+ points every week.

Miss State is not getting much attention at 5-0.

I just looked and they beat Jackson State, Auburn, Troy, South Alabama, and Kentucky.  They play Tennessee this week so maybe that will tell us a little bit about where they really are.  They will most likely be undefeated when they play us.

I just looked at their schedule.  There is no way they finish the season undefeated.  They still have Stanford, Oklahoma, and USC.  It was a nice thought though.

They still have Oklahoma. Did you see Stanford-Arizona highlights last night? lol Of course, Stanford beat USC. The West Coast seems more into fashion design than football. JMHO

Yeah, but this is Notre Dame we are talking about here.  They can find ways to lose when no one else can.

I think Oregon goes undefeated this year.  There is nothing on their schedule beyond the usual PAC 12 foes.  Stanford and USC are overrated.   After getting demolished by LSU last year, which probably kept them out of the championship game, Oregon scheduled Tennessee Tech (they have a team?), Arkansas State, and Fresno State as their non-conference slate.  Oregon State and USC are their toughest challenges.

I agree it is hard to see Notre Dame going undefeated with their schedule, and their talent.

That really leaves an SEC v. Oregon match-up as the most likely.  (Second most likely is starting to sound like SEC v. SEC again, if they really do pick the two best teams.)

Don't count out WV. They may give up a lot of points but they score more than they give up. I would love to see Oregon and WV play each other, I wonder what the O/U would be.

They'll drop 1,2, maybe 3 by bowl time. Been watching it for years. "We're big time! We've got Major Harris" or "We're #1. We've got Pat White". Now it is Geno. 17th is where they'll eventually wind up. LOL
