Title: Alabama v. MO with 21.5 points Post by: Catch Prothro on October 13, 2012, 01:57:49 PM Am I the only one who thinks 21.5 points and Bama is a tough pick? Everyone has picked Bama, but my initial choice was to take the points and MO. USCe and GA both beat Mo by exactly 21 points, and Bama's average margin of victory is 21 points, plus the MO head coach is a friend and former teammate of Saban, so Saban won't run up the score. But with Bama coming off a bye week, MO with its backup QB (who beat AZ State), and everyone else picking Bama, it seemed too risky to go against the grain -- everyone picks Bama and the game is neutralized.

Yeah, we probably shouldn't include the Bama games for that very reason. They have a tendency to not change the outcome of the contest. You could probably say the same thing for the Auburn game for the opposite reason. But on the other hand, we still have 8 games to settle the contest and I love picking against Auburn so far this year. :lol: Title: Re: Alabama v. This line is coming down to the wire. If Iowa State goes for it on 4th down, KSU might get a late field goal to ice the win...
