I have been to about 10 stations and I can't get the game on any of them (I can still watch it, of course, but I had to wait for our lovely station up here to finish showing the exciting Va Tech - Duke game, so I missed the first four minutes or so).

Thanks to the weather delay I finally caught up.  I watched the entire Auburn game to make sure they didn't try to pull some shenanigans at the end and cheat out a victory.

Chris Stewart just talked with head ref. He says that as long as there is not another lightning strike in the next 10 minutes, players would come back out on the field and get a 10 minute warmup and then play would resume.

I was thinking it was against LSU in Tuscaloosa in 1993 or 1995.  I was a student there then, and I remember standing near the concession stand watching TV.  One way or the other, I think the last weather delay was in the early to mid 90's.

He was holding his knee right after he went down.  He went down on his bare knee cap, so I think it is just going to be a knee bruise.  I don't understand why these guys don't pull their knee pads down over their knee cap where they can do some good.

I saw his hand go to his exposed knee cap immediately after it hit the ground.  I figured that was the problem.  They need to pull those knee pads down.  A lot of the skill players keep them up too high.  I guess it is less restrictive when they are running, but not worth the injury risk in my opinion.

This is a rough start to the 2nd half of the season. We are not looking good at all on the OL and these injuries are starting to take their toll. We need to get out of Missouri and regroup.

Time to find some rhythm on offense. Stick with the draw and sweep.

I think so.  I'm guessing CNS had an obstructed view of what really happened or he would have pulled him.  CNS will show him what true hostility is all about after he watches the game film though.

I think he just got caught up in the moment and made a play but it was a dumb one. I'm not sure but I think he got pancaked on the next play after the penalty. If anyone watches the replay it would be interesting to know if it was Fanning that got beat, someone did.

That's how I took it too.  Just a young pup who is excited to be in the game and was a little overeager to make a play.  CNS will straighten him out.

I saw Fanning walking funny so he may have injured himself. That was such a stupid, dangerous thing to do.

The guy that Fanning body slammed was back in the next play, but the guy that hit his head hard on the ground had to be carted off as the game was ending.

one of these days, the OL is gonna cost us a game. I also was not real impressed with our pass defense.

Guess I am just spoiled and expect perfection. But truth is, we have played well in spots..and very poorly in spots.

When Auburn does it and seriously injures our starting QB, it is a great play.  He is a smaller player and had to leverage him down.  That is a completely legal play.  When Alabama does it, the player should be suspended.  Contrast the way the announcers talk about those two plays.

In my opinion both plays where horrible and both guys should be suspended for a game.  In the case of the Auburn play, they knocked out the opposing teams starting QB in the middle of the 4th Qtr in a 1 point game.  The same QB that drove the ball down on them and won the game in the 4th Qtr the previous year.  In Alabama's case, it was a blowout with a young over-eager freshman in the game and no one was hurt (thankfully).  But the difference in the way the announcers talked about it is very telling to me.  Everything they said about the play yesterday was justified and I agree with.  But it makes me want to throw up when I hear them making excuses for that Auburn thug.
