I imagine the UT fans and administration aren't far from canning him and looking for a new coach. Unlike the barn and Arkansas, Texas will not have any trouble luring a top coach to Austin.

UTa is pouring good money after bad. They can afford to fire him but it still has to hurt. Plus, every day they wait makes it all the longer until things turn around. Maybe keep him on until this recruiting class is in the bank. Title: Re: Coach Mack Brown's Reaction to Rout by Oklahoma Post by: Catch Prothro on October 16, 2012, 08:18:48 AM CMB isn't a coach so much as an administrator. His assistants do the coaching, and recruiting is easy in the big State of Texas. The same thing happened to FSU in the latter Bowden days. If a coach isn't coaching, what is he being paid for?

That just doesn't work in college football. He's got to be hands on to have control of the program. |
