If you let the players they will just go through the motions. Saban does not allow this. By creating competition at every position you not only bring out the best in the starter you are building depth. We are blessed to have CNS as our coach.

The only player that is definitely NOT on Saban's list right now is Trent. He made several of these comments after a question about Trent and made it a point to say that he works hard every practice and is showing the leadership Saban expects.
Some of the remarks were also made when he was asked about the QB situation, so it could have also been a mini-message for AJ, as well.
