This will serve as a good reminder for all of us ;) Title: Re: Coach Bryant's Daily Devotional Post by: Leroy on October 23, 2012, 03:13:04 PM I really love hearing Coach Bryant reading this but I can't pla videos when I'm at work so I'm adding the written version below:
Quote This is the beginning of a new day. God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it or use it for good. What I do today is important as I am exchanging a day of my life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever. Leaving something in its place I have traded for it. I want it to be a gain, not loss--good, not evil. Success, not failure, in order that I shall not forget the price I paid for it. Title: Re: Coach Bryant's Daily Devotional Post by: Leroy on October 23, 2012, 03:23:24 PM Here is another one that is as meaningful to me now at this point in my life as it was when I first read it in high school...maybe moreso now. I hope that you and the others will enjoy it too and if this isn't the right place to post this then my feelings won't be hurt if you want to delete it...
Quote Don’t Quit by: Anonymous When things go wrong as they sometimes will, When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill, When funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh. When care is pressing you down a bit. Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit. Life is queer with its twists and turns As every one of us sometimes learns. And many a failure turns about When he might have won had he stuck it out: Don’t give up though the pace seems slow - You may succeed with another blow. Success is failure turned inside out - The silver tint of the clouds of doubt. And you never can tell how close you are. It may be near when it seems so far: So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit. Title: Re: Coach Bryant's Daily Devotional Post by: Jamos on July 10, 2013, 06:48:03 PM I received an email today from a high school classmate that lost her husband almost a year ago. She has pretty much secluded herself from most people because of her past memories of her and her husband. She and I talked recently at our class reunion about her loss and it really bothered me that she had given up on life, nothing seemed to interest her any more. I offered her encouragement and asked her to open up and be willing to appreciate all the things that God has given her, especially all the years with her husband. Instead of grieveing about her loss, be happy that her husband had been part of her life and that God has more to offer her each day. She said she would try.
Today I received an email from her and yes I shed a couple of tears of happiness for her as I watched the video that she had sent me. I sensed a new happiness in her. I watched it at least three times and so many friends of mine came to mind. One of those friends asked me to share this on the forum and I hope that all of you will enjoy it as much as I did and just maybe some of you might have someone to share it with as well. http://www.lshs64.com/enjoytheride.html Title: Re: Coach Bryant's Daily Devotional Post by: Jamos on July 10, 2013, 06:52:51 PM Title: Re: Coach Bryant's Daily Devotional Post by: ricky023 on July 10, 2013, 10:03:34 PM I wish i could download that one.
