The spring roster features twice as many four- or five-star players (50) as three-star players (25), according to Rivals.com ratings.
Since junior running back Trent Richardson arrived in 2009, he has seen the Crimson Tide's talent level rise significantly. "We've got a lot more talent," said Richardson, one of seven five-star players on the current roster. "But toughness? I wouldn't say we've got more toughness. We had a really tough team my freshman year. We had Rolando (McClain), we had Mike Johnson, we had Colin Peek. Even though he was kind of skinny, he was still tough."
