Title: So are we STILL untested? Post by: Terrie1959 on November 04, 2012, 07:02:38 AM A lot of people say that Alabama hasn't played anyone. Michigan was supposed to be a big test. We won. Arkansas was going to be the next BIG test. We won. Missouri was supposed to be another test. We won. Mississippi State was going to be a HUGE test. We won! Every team that was going to be our test has suffered losses. So now, "THEY" said, Alabama hasn't been tested. lsu has now lost 2 games. Does this mean that Alabama STILL hasn't been tested?
I get really tired of people saying that we haven't been tested. It's not our fault that we can take a team, beat them and ruin their season. I just find it hard to believe that although we can go 8-0, we haven't been "tested". Our win last night showed that we CAN play 4 quarters and we can win. To "them" who know so much, I say shut the heck up. Alabama, even with mistakes, is still the best team in the Nation. Title: Re: So are we STILL untested? Title: Re: So are we STILL untested? Post by: pmull on November 04, 2012, 07:21:41 AM It really does not matter what people say or reporters write. We are a solid No. 1 in the polls and that will not change later today when the new polls come out. The national debate at the moment is who is No. 2. IMO Notre Dame did not help themselves by taking three OT's at home to beat a 4-5 Pitt team. Oregon gave up 51 points and over 600 yds to an average USCw team. Kansas State has a very weak schedule so their supporters can not use our schedule against us.
We were tested last night. LSU gave us everything they had and we still pulled out a win. The off week helped LSU more than anyone is talking about. They were rested and got a lot of players healthy during the week off. It was not pretty but that was a good win last night. Title: Re: So are we STILL untested? Post by: 2Stater on November 04, 2012, 07:50:41 AM One for the ages. This game will be talked about even more than the '09 win over UT. Maybe more than any game ever. Were we tested? You bet your azz we were. AJ and the team showed a lot of character in the comeback last night and that will be in everyone's conversation for weeks to come. Mettenberger played the game of his life last night and we still snatched it away from him. I think we ought to call him to see how he's taking it. He did invite us to call him last night, didn't he?
Title: Re: So are we STILL untested? Post by: crtuneman on November 04, 2012, 08:08:00 AM David Pollack said as much last night. He said Alabama still has not played anyone, and he intimated that LSU was not that good because of the way they played against Auburn. I never have liked Pollack. He's such a Georgia homer, and he always disrespects Alabama.

Some people are determined to try to deny Alabama the respect that not only they have earned but that they deserve. Title: Re: So are we STILL untested? Post by: BAMAWV on November 04, 2012, 08:21:14 AM The #2-5 teams all showed yesterday that they are no where close to taking over the #1 spot. We will take good care of it while they go back to the drawing board.

I'm wondering if Georgia will ever schedule LSU and Bama again, it seems ages since they've played either. :dunno: |
