Title: Auburn football hires security firm to enforce curfews Post by: pmull on November 08, 2012, 02:00:30 PM The barn players have a nightly curfew of 11:00. I wonder how this will go over with recruits. Oh I forgot, this is the last year for this coaching staff.
Quote Curfews are a common practice on the evenings before games but Auburn instituted a nightly curfew, a far more rare practice, and the use of paid personnel from a private security firm to assist in enforcing a curfew may be unprecedented. Dallas said the operation – which includes members of his staff going to the homes of football players who live off-campus and confirming they are home by the team’s 11 p.m. curfew – began shortly after the arrest of center Reese Dismukes for public intoxication on Aug. 25. Dallas said when the use of his staff for curfew checks began a few players were not pleased and had to be spoken to by members of the Player Development staff. http://www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/article/20121107/SPORTS0402/121107013/Auburn-football-hires-security-firm-enforce-curfews?odyssey=mod%7Cnewswell%7Ctext%7CHS%20Scores-bbBoys%7Cp Title: Re: Auburn football hires security firm to enforce curfews Post by: SUPERCOACH on November 08, 2012, 02:15:12 PM What is stopping the thugs from leaving after the curfew check?
Title: Re: Auburn football hires security firm to enforce curfews Post by: Catch Prothro on November 08, 2012, 02:50:04 PM I like SI's write-up, which ends:
Quote The increase in off-field policing doesn’t appear to be helping the on-field product. Auburn is in the middle of its worst season in 60 years – the team is winless in the Southeastern Conference and owns a paltry 2-7 overall record. :lol:http://tracking.si.com/2012/11/08/auburn-hired-security-curfew/?sct=cf_t2_a11 Title: Re: Auburn football hires security firm to enforce curfews Post by: ricky023 on November 08, 2012, 03:12:34 PM Well I guess you are who you try and get. When you get classless then you expect classless actions. JMHO. RTR!
Title: Re: Auburn football hires security firm to enforce curfews Post by: SUPERCOACH on November 08, 2012, 07:51:40 PM Trevor Matich made an excellent point today on College Football Live. He pointed out that the players must be defiant and against the coaching staff for it to come to this. And it started before the first game, so it isn't a side effect of losing. I look for some of these thugs to start squealing once everything starts to unravel. It appears they have no sense of commitment or loyalty to the program or they wouldn't need these guys to check up on them.
:popcorn2: Title: Re: Auburn football hires security firm to enforce curfews Post by: SUPERCOACH on November 08, 2012, 07:53:26 PM Just imagine what could happen when the next coach comes in and he runs some of these deadbeats off during spring ball.

Per their announcers at the game, they would gain self-confidence to help them against Georgia and help them finish strong to end the season. :eyeroll: Title: Re: Auburn football hires security firm to enforce curfews Post by: SeniorTSM on November 09, 2012, 06:14:38 AM who was the recruit that got the Aubarn Tat? Please try not to use such vile, racist language. The term for these low-life punks is student-athlete & Auburn Men and Fambly. Consider yourself properly reprimanded. You have been warned twice, next time you get sent to the office. “It’s humiliating,” he said. “It tells me we have a bunch of Dez Bryants on our team, and it’s a joke. Ask Nick Saban if he’s doing that. If you don’t have mentally tough and physically tough players, you’re going to lose. Well guess what? Mentally and physically tough players, they’ll make their curfew. Mentally and physically tough players, they’ll show up to practice on time. Mentally and physically tough players, they’re going to be mentally and physically prepared to play every single Saturday. ... “That’s the (New England) Patriot way, and I believe in it. Look across the state, Auburn fans. The Patriot way can be done in college football with grand success. Nick Saban, if he was really getting truthful in his heart of hearts, he’d say there are a lot of coaches that could implement this very same way and have close to this very same success if they were willing to just toe the line when it comes to discipline and structure.” Title: Re: Auburn football hires security firm to enforce curfews Post by: bamalum67 on November 09, 2012, 06:05:56 PM That was lifted from Al.com, quoted by former barn player Heath Evans.
It is truly a dumpster fire, and I could not be happier! I hope this is the year we hang 50+on em. It is truly a dumpster fire, and I could not be happier! I hope this is the year we hang 50+on em. The largest margin of victory in the series was 1948, win Bama won 55-0. I would LOVE to eclipse that. |
