Title: Re: Alabama Basketball vs West Alabama (Sunday 4:00) Post by: pmull on November 11, 2012, 05:56:39 PM UWA is a middle of the pack Div II school in the Gulf South Conference. We should beat them like this. It is hard to tell if we are playing well or not. 8 of 15 from 3 pt line is good. 47% shooting and 16 of 26 from FT line is bad.

Their play so far really has me worried. :tinfoil: Title: Re: Alabama Basketball vs West Alabama (Sunday 4:00) Post by: pmull on November 11, 2012, 06:03:10 PM Game is over. Bama wins 80-49. Jacobs only played 16 minutes and Releford 22. I am especially worried about Jacobs. Anyone hear if he was hurt? :tinfoil: Title: Re: Alabama Basketball vs West Alabama (Sunday 4:00) Post by: Jamos on November 11, 2012, 09:23:58 PM Quote The Alabama men's basketball team beat West Alabama, 80-49 Sunday afternoon in game two of the 2K Sports Classic at Coleman Coliseum. Releford is playing as he is needed and in these lesser games he is playing enough to condition himself. He will play more as the competition gets tougher. This gives the others a chance to get more experience. He doesn't like to start the game and I'm assuming this gives him a chance to evaluate the the opponent some. I don't know of any injury to Jacobs but CAG is a lot like CNS about discussing players and injuries. I have a feeling though that he is letting Gueye and Engstrom get as many minutes as possible for experience as well, Jacobs is ahead of these two and they will be needed in Madison Square Garden next week. He had a good night in the opener. He played limited minutes against UWA to give others some playing time and gain experience. Jacobs has a sore ankle. He needs to get over that quick. We need him 100% starting Thursday with Oregon State. You're right, we definitely need him, he is a bear on the inside. |
