Title: Maryland Moving to the Big Ten
Post by: Marshal Dillon on November 19, 2012, 11:37:08 AM
Yep, the Big Ten added a really tough new football team to its list of pansy programs. Who's next, Akron, East Carolina, Hoover High School?

This has to be more about TV market than getting good teams.  Maryland and Rutgers?  At least the SEC won't go there (I hope).

I hate to admit it but that is a huge TV move for the Big Ten. But I'd like to think Slive and company have more of a desire to excel competitively as a conference instead of merely punching the cash register.

This has been all over the news up here. While some of the fans are smart enough to know that this is a money move, others are so delusional that they are upset that they will be losing their "rivalries" with Duke and Virginia. They don't seem to get that Duke could care less about them. :lol2:
