Title: The view from Australia on college football (Jesse Williams)
Post by: pmull on December 04, 2012, 10:40:21 AM
Very good article on Jesse from his home town newspaper. They are as proud of the "Monstar" as we are.

Quote
The enormous Brisbane-born defensive lineman for the University of Alabama's powerhouse Crimson Tide college football team proved it was more than meaningless ink on Saturday night with a performance that has his team raving.
In what was the Tide's biggest stage of the season, with a berth in the national championship on the line, Williams, 21, came back to the field on an injured knee to help his team through to the national championship.
The patchwork-tattooed young man who calls himself the "Monstar", and is rated as the strongest member of the team for his ability to bench press 272kg, was considered key in getting the Tide across the line against the Georgia Bulldogs at the Georgia Dome.
