Second chances don't come that often but it also sounds like he's enthralled with Trooper, and that says something that's not good. This article suggests Bama has continued to "pursue" him, and that surprised me after the way he so publicly changed his committment. Assistant coaches come and go but the University will always be there.
It surprises me why a 5 star LB would be so connected to an offensive coach. I mean , since the Asst. Coaches do the bulk of the recruiting they form a relationship with the kid ... but as someone said , they're going to play for the College not the Asst. Coach , and besides ... if a Asst. is worth his salt he won't be an Asst. long and could leave at any time ... these kids need to remember that , and not get so wrapped up in this or that Asst. Even in the best of circumstances, the coach's priority is not with any one kid but with doing his job and winning. In the worst of circumstances you have coaches that turn their backs on kids the second the player is no longer useful to them. Some kids understand the situation they are in others do not. I'm thinking Reuben does not.
