They are probably already looking for their next HC. Meanwhile, they've got a name coach to attract some attention and maybe some recruits. Sure, they just lost their coach to South Florida. They have a pretty good team coming back, figure Petrino will recruit and coach well while he is there, and gives them breathing room to scout their next head coach. For Petrino it is the break he was looking for, plus a decent team with a two bottom-tier SEC opponents.
