Today there were reports (NY Times, ESPN) that Bama's seniors had called a team meeting because they weren't satisfied with the effort in practice. Enough smoke and eventually there is a fire.

That makes me feel a little better about the focus that our most experienced players are trying to bring to the rest of the team.

He didn't go into specifics, only to say that a couple of the younger players who weren't expecting to play weren't showing the level of commitment that the leadership felt necessary. He was smiling about it, like they had a come to Jesus meeting with these young kids.
Saban also talked about it, saying that they were sent home (for missing curfew, I think) as a teaching experience, because you need to learn that there are consequences when you don't follow the rules.
