Title: Sportscenter after the game: Post by: hscoach on January 07, 2013, 11:28:58 PM Lou making excuses for ND and you can see it chaps Urban's azz that Saban is getting all this credit.

It was pathetically obvious. He just said he really would like to see what Oregon could do against Bama. Grasping at anything, poor tackling was the best he could come up with, to try and say Notre Dame just had an off day,-- without actually saying it.I also heard the Notre Dame team repeat to a man, that Bama was better TODAY-- somehow trying to leave the impression that it was just an off day. Title: Re: Sportscenter after the game: Post by: cbbama99 on January 08, 2013, 07:52:52 AM I have never seen more of a sour puss on someone's face than when they showed old Lou after the game. CUM, too. Those guys just can't stand it. Holtz is a sad shell of what used to be a great coach, but is now nothing more than a laughing stock. At least Corso manned up (somewhat) after the game.
Title: Re: Sportscenter after the game: Post by: Catch Prothro on January 08, 2013, 10:16:14 AM Urban Meyer tried to make it sound like ND's scheme was flawed, implying that he would have done a better job defending against Bama's offense. :eyeroll:
Title: Re: Sportscenter after the game: Post by: ricky023 on January 08, 2013, 10:47:59 AM ESPN is just a liars convention, one minute they are one way and the next somewhere else. Mark May and Desmond Howard were the only two that stood their ground in the junk. RTR!
Title: Re: Sportscenter after the game: Post by: BAMAWV on January 08, 2013, 11:56:14 AM Lou Holtz:

He was 10-12 at MINNESOTA. In 11 years at NOTRE DAME he averaged 3 losses per year but was 12-0 in 1988 capped off with a easy bowl game against WVU. He was 33-37 at SOUTH CAROLINA over 6 years ending up 5-7, 5-7, and 6-5. With the exception of a handful of years (1988, 1989, and a couple of others). His year to year compilations would have gotten him fired at Bama. He was fortunate enough to be at NOTRE DAME with unlimited schollies and unprecedented national recruiting. He had 1 NC, and again, that was a bowl against WVU and Major Harris pulled up lame early in the 1st qtr. I could have coached ND with the talent they were able to get in the 80s. Lou Holtz was mediocre at best. Now he is just an old piece of furniture that has been given a job with ESPN because the people that don't really follow football think he was once something other than average. BTW, the center pic (above), is Pee Wee Herman,--not Holtz. Title: Re: Sportscenter after the game: Post by: Merk on January 08, 2013, 12:04:30 PM Lot of butt hurt going on out there.
