Quote
The University of Alabama men's basketball team will open Southeastern Conference play on Tuesday night when it travels to Columbia, Mo., to take on the No. 10/12 Missouri Tigers. The contest, which will be televised on ESPN, is slated for a 6 p.m. tipoff.

Tuesday's contest will mark the fourth consecutive year the Crimson Tide has opened conference play on the road. It will also be the inaugural SEC game for Missouri, who officially joined the league prior to the start of the 2012-13 season.

"We have finished our non-conference schedule and we are excited about starting conference play," UA head coach Anthony Grant said. "I am really impressed watching Missouri on film and what they've been able to accomplish and the way they've played. I think they are one of the better teams in the country and their record and ranking show that. I know that our guys are excited about the opportunity to go and compete and are ready for the challenge."

Unfortunately, I think it is going to be payback time for football season.

Well I hope CAG has them ready. Mizz is not a bad team. Our inside game needs to be on top of it. RTR!

We started out ugly down 15-5.  We have now fought back and just took the lead 19-17.

Bama shooting a little over their heads at the moment. 23-20

23-23 CAG needs to settle them down some--too many turnovers-- but Mizzou shooting over their heads too. Rebounding edge for Mizz starting to emerge.

If this turns into a 3 shooting contest we'll lose. T Rele just turned one over trying to kick it out for the 3 rather than taking the mid-jumper for 2. Mizz up 32-31

Saving the ball OOBs under the other teams goal is generally a poor decision. The Tide got away with it just a sec ago but a turnover negated it. >:(

Bama down 4 at the half--40-36.

Following the "Halftime Report" discussion on ESPN,--the Gatorade bath has been done to death. CNS hates it. The Tide needs to rise above this and discontinue it-- leave the Gatorade ritual to the mediocre teams. The ACs need to sit the team down and explain that it does not fit in with our business/"act like you've been there" approach. JMHO

Releford w/19 pts. at the half. On pace for his biggest night. But he cannot carry the team. T Lacey has dropped ff the last couple of games. He needs to get his head back into it. Pollard playing like he wants to be great down the road. Jacobs and Steele need to pick up their pace.

Tide holding their own on the boards. lol--Unfortunately there are not too many rebounds to be gotten. Something has to give with the Mizz shooting if we are to steal this road game.

They are the number 1 rebounding team in the country and we are out rebounding them with a 4 guard line up.

Not much to say about this one. Alabama played hard and hung around for most of the game but Missouri was just better than us and playing at home.

I don't know who makes these schedules but we need a break with the SEC opener. This is the 5th year in a row we open SEC play on the road. Last year we opened at Vandy.

Releford played well.

We play Tenn at home on Saturday. The game is at 12:00 and will be shown on ESPN2.
