Bama travels to Samford tonight to revenge an earlier loss, 5-2, to the Bulldogs. If Bama is going to be in the running for any post season play they have got to get some victories, hopefully they can begin a new win streak tonight.

at the end of 3, Bama leads Samford 2-0

Samford gets on the board with a HR in 4th.

After 4 complete innings:

Bama 2 runs on 6 hits and 0 errors

Samford 1 run on 2 hits and 1 error

top of 5th, 3 quick ground outd for Bama.

Bottom of 5th, Samford gets 2 hits and leaves them both on base.

Bama clings to a 2-1 lead.

Lee - it is good to have you back. You have been missing and our bats have gone stone cold for two weeks. I have been wondering if the two are related.

Bama leaves the base loaded in the 6th.

Still 2-1

Samford scores 3 in bottom of 6th to take a 4-2 lead.

Still batting with 1 out.

Samford scores again in the 6th to take a 5-2 lead. Still only 1 out.

6th inning finally ends. Samford leads 5-2

Bama scores 2 in the 7th, cuts Samford's lead down to 1.

Samford up 5-4.

Samford fails to score in 7th, still lead Bama 5-4.

Bama picks up 1 in the top of 8th to tie it at 5.

We need a few runs and close this game out.

Smart comes in to pitch for Bama in the 8th, promptly struck out first 3 batters he faced.

Going into the 9th, tied at 5

You're right, we've been leaving too many runners on base.

Bama scores 2 in the 9th to take a 7-5 lead.

Need 3 more outs for a victory.

Hope Smart can strike out 3 more.

Nice come back. We need to hold them in the 9th. Smart still pitching.

Bama wins 7-5

This was a good win, not great, but anytime you come from behind for a win it's good. 

We get the win. Hopefully this will give us some momentun going into the weekend series with Florida.
