Well wherever they go I hope their behavior will have changed. Since we have 4 or maybe 5 places open, who do you think CNS will fill them with? RTR!

We are still over the 85 scholarship limit. CNS still has some roster management to do. We will not be adding anyone.

This article list each position and who we have signed and presently on scholarship. We have 91 after the recent supensions. That number could be 89 depending on Marvin Shin and Danny Woodson, Jr.

Well I look at what you have listed and here is my thoughts, also thank you for such a good post.
QB: Parker McLeod and Luke Del Rio take RS
RB's: Altee Tenpenny and Tyren Jones take RS
WR's: Raheem Falkins RS
O-line: Grant Hill RS
DL: Dee Liner and Tim Williams RS
DB: Maurice Smith and Eddie Jackson RS
This is just my opinion of course but this would get us down to 79 players I think. Now where to from here would be anybody's guess. RTR!

Redshirts don't count. A RS is still on scholarship. We have to have a few players leave the program. Normally it is a player who has been in the program and wants to transfer because they understand they will not see meaningful playing time. Medical hardships happen as well. A MH is when a player gets injuried and is not able to come back. A MH can remain on scholarship and get their school payed for but they are no longer a part of the team.

CNS always seems to be able to work things out. We do not have to be down to 85 players until August. Spring injuries happen and juniors see incoming freshmen beating them out. No need for us to worry. It is all part of the process.

Hey ok, thanks pmull. This is really interesting, cause I like recruiting and then seeing who we are keeping to make the team. I guess the high praises of the players who are coming in and then they don't make the team for some reason peaks my interest. Thanks again. RTR!

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Jalston Fowler. Hopefully he shows he is fully recovered during spring drills.

I agree WV I hope he is fully recovered because he will be a mad man out there if he is healed. RTR!

I have not heard anything negative about his recovery. I expect him back in August ready to go like a bull in heat.

No way can you pull the rug from beneath him yet, but with only 1 season of eligibilty remaining and a bull pen full of bulls in heat...

I watched the OL workouts on the AL.COM videos. I saw Brandon Hill (6-6 350) working against Leon Brown (6-6 313) at right tackle. Monsters. I am not sure the weights I used above were updated from 2012 season.

Also watched a video of a Cyrus Kouandjio interview saying Ryan Kelly was dead serious about his job and is learning/has learned all he needs for this season. He said he trusts Kelly (C) as much as he trusted Barrett Jones. WOW

There always will be question marks before a season starts, but who better to address them than Coach Nick.

Some interesting things I saw in the schedule:

1) Three teams have to play South Carolina then us back to back (KY, UT, Arky)

2) Three teams with open dates before us (Barn, Ole Miss, LSU)

3) I think this is the latest in the season we have ever played Arky.

4) Looking forward to Sept. 28 with South Alabama goes up to Knoxville. You will hear loud laughing coming from the Mid-Atlantic region that day if the Jags pull off the upset.

I don't like that Ole Miss game.  If we aren't careful they could catch us snoozing.  Thankfully we have the Colorado State game between them and Texas A&M.  We will beat the tar out of Colorado State, and CNS will be livid about all the little things we did wrong any way and have their attention during Ole Miss week, so we should be OK.  If Ole Miss was the week after aTm I would be pretty concerned about a let down.

Ole Miss has always been a thorn in our side. When they were no good they still played us and things would happen. We have to be careful with this bunch, they seem to play us better than any low rated school. Hugh Freeze is making them a better team. RTR!

Thorn in our side? Not really. We have a 50-8-2 record against them and currently have a nine game win streak.

Hugh Freeze seems to have them headed in the right direction. We will see if they continue to improve or if they will remain a team that struggles just to get bowl eligible.

LSU has an open date before Bama, and an open date after Bama (before TAMU)

Both Mississippi schools play a Big12 school early.  MS State plays at Texas, Ole Miss plays OK State.  Those should be interesting games.

I hope Ole Miss beats the crap out of Mike "I'm A Man, I'm 40" Gundy. He wasn't much of a man whining about the Bama-LSU game two years ago.
