UAH Hockey was almost dead, the only Division 1 hockey team without a conference affiliation. But now they have been accepted in the WCHA Conference. Quote Alabama-Huntsville is scheduled to join Alaska, Alaska-Anchorage, Bemidji State, Bowling Green, Ferris State, Lake Superior State, Michigan Tech, Minnesota State and Northern Michigan as part of the new-look WCHA. This is the reason UAH was left out a few years back.
