Title: I thought this guy had class, but I guess not Post by: hscoach on January 30, 2013, 08:25:10 PM http://www.foxsportstennessee.com/01/30/13/Franklin-rips-Nicky-Satan-during-Ga-spee/msn_landing.html?blockID=856741&feedID=3732
Title: Re: I thought this guy had class, but I guess not Post by: BAMADCHAMPSHIPS on January 30, 2013, 10:07:37 PM Yea, I was a disappointed with he's comment. However, I'm sure CNS was more upset with Franklin calling him on the phone and taking time from the recruiting process. Than the actually name calling.
Title: Re: I thought this guy had class, but I guess not Post by: N.AL-Tider on January 31, 2013, 05:55:29 AM A non-issue IMO. We weren't there so really have no idea of the context it was said in. He claims it was meant as a joke. No other option except to believe that to be true. Besides, if the shoe was on the other foot we would all think it was great and funny. I still do.

Title: Re: I thought this guy had class, but I guess not Post by: pmull on January 31, 2013, 08:07:43 AM Franklin appears to be a good coach. He is making Vandy respectable which is a difficult job. He could have jumped the Vandy ship while his name was hot but he choose to stay. I liked that about him.
He is an emotional guy that gets fired up and runs his mouth without thinking. The CNS comment was not the first time this has happened. He always tries to appoloigize and makes things right after he gets caught running his mouth too much. He is still new to talking to the media and large crowds. He needs to learn to think before he speaks. I think this is harmless but Franklin needs to mature as a SEC Head Coach and be more professional. Title: Re: I thought this guy had class, but I guess not Post by: Catch Prothro on January 31, 2013, 08:16:33 AM A minor thing. He needs lessons from Spurrier if he wants to take shots. Saban doesn't usually bother with negative comments, preferring to acentuate the positive of his own program, though his occassional responses seem to quiet the competition.
Title: Re: I thought this guy had class, but I guess not Post by: Jamos on January 31, 2013, 09:14:45 AM I'm sure he will be asked about this from someone on NSD, either the media or a REC member and no doubt he will downplay it with a roll of the eyes and that smirkish smile of his. ;)
