The Alabama softball team checked in at No. 1 in the USA Today/NFCA Poll while dropping to No. 2 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25, both organizations announced Tuesday.

The ranking look similar to the end of the season last year. The same teams at the top. It is a long season. We need to play well all season and peak at Tournament time. I have gotten accustomed to going to the Wold Series. I wouldn't mind winning it again this year.

When you look at these polls, you still see a bunch of SEC teams in the top 10. We must have proven over and over that the SEC is the strongest conference in the nation in sports. RTR!

I agree with you preacher, The top 10 rankings for softball look similar to the football polls.  The SEC has become the power softball conference, no longer is it dominated by the west coast teams.
