I really thought that before the season ended that it would happen, but he has a great legacy at Bama as it is.  :clap:

I know it's a cool idea, but Saban doesn't let just anyone carry the rock.  A couple of years ago, Lacy had a few fumbles when Bama had a pretty comfortable lead, and we didn't see him again for several games.  

Jessie was pretty new to football. Remember the goal line play he went the wrong direction, but it turned out OK because he ended up being a decoy?  That probably killed any chance of a handoff right there.

But to answer the question, yes.  I'll put Jessie down for 53 reps.  

We should do a contest, closest to the actual number wins.

Methinks Jesse was talked out of going full out. He did 30 today.

That's one less than Knile Davis, Arkansas RB, and tied for 5th (with 7 other players) for his position.  There is a big difference between maxing out and repetitions, and they require different training. 

He did 50+ "unofficially" last year at our Pro Day.  He didn't go full out (strategically for some purpose) or possibly tweaked something.

he went home and worked out hard so we fully expected him to
show up and take the record ... maybe Art will fill us in one day

I think he was told not to worry about the record because every team knows he has above average strentgh. No need to push it and "tweak" something. Showing out in the weight room has caused many injuries.

You're probably correct.  I don't think it was coincidence that 8 players at that position lifted 30 reps.  The few who lifted more than 30 were further off the radar.  Players from SMU and Missouri Southern topped the list; you can't tell me that they were the strongest.
