Title: AJ Was Injured Last Half of Season Post by: Marshal Dillon on March 08, 2013, 09:31:02 PM This is something several of us mentioned when his passing game seemed to become flaky midway into the season.
Quote In an interview with Chris Low of ESPN.com, McCarron confirmed that he played the last six games of the 2012 season with injured ribs — “I had three ribs come out of place” is how the player put it — and wasn’t close to 100-percent healthy until the BCS title game against Notre Dame. http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/03/08/mccarron-played-last-half-of-season-with-injured-ribs/related/ Title: Re: AJ Was Injured Last Half of Season Post by: Catch Prothro on March 09, 2013, 09:06:40 AM No surprise, but that sounds really painful.
It makes the comeback drive, and AJ's emotions, against LSU take on a whole new meaning. Here's the official story link from the time of the injury: "back contusion" http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2012/10/alabama_qb_aj_mccarron_suffers.html Oh, and here is where we starting discussing it on the Quad, in the TAMU In The Game Thread: http://www.crimsonredsports.com/index.php?topic=13713.msg143792#msg143792 (can I get an ecred?) ;D Title: Re: AJ Was Injured Last Half of Season Post by: ricky023 on March 09, 2013, 11:19:06 AM No surprise, but that sounds really painful. I often end up on the wrong end (no need to bring up at my bowl pickem results), but I got this one right.
I'm definitely sticking by my prediction from over a year ago that Tyren Jones will compete for the backup RB spot behind Yeldon, and not the other way around. ;) http://www.crimsonredsports.com/index.php?topic=8298.0 Title: Re: AJ Was Injured Last Half of Season Post by: hscoach on March 10, 2013, 11:42:51 AM I think K. Drake has to fit in there somewhere.

This young man is going to be a force to reckon with. RTR! Title: Re: AJ Was Injured Last Half of Season Post by: Catch Prothro on March 10, 2013, 05:21:13 PM I think K. Drake has to fit in there somewhere. Definitely. He and Yeldon are special, playing as freshmen on a national championship team. I think they are the 1-2 next year, barring injury. Tyren Jones is a great player as well, but they'll probably redshirt him, given the depth. Also, he had jaw surgery recently from a locker room "incident," I don't like the sound of that. |
