It is hard to tell from stats alone how the scrimmage went but stats and CNS comments is all we have to go by.

McCarron had a good day 15-28 291 yds and 4 TD's, int. Blake Sims is the only other QB listed in the stats. I did not think he would be the backup this year but looks like he is getting playing time. Parker McLeod had a TD pass.

Yeldon got 16 carries and Derrick Henry got 12. No stats for K. Drake but he is listed as scoring a TD.

Only two receivers listed. DeAndrew White with 7 catches for 132 yds and a 2 TD's. Cooper had 3 catches for 120 yds (40 yd per catch avg) and a TD. White looks like he is recovering nicely from his injury. There were three other receiving TD's but the stats did not list who had them.

I found this in another article about K. Drake. This article has more stat information and is worth a read.

Quote
With 11 carries for 85 yards and one touchdown in the scrimmage that was closed to the general public and members of the news media, sophomore-to-be Kenyan Drake posted the best numbers among running backs. His TD came on a 58-yard run up the middle.

There's a lot of experimentation going on with the team so the stats can be pretty deceiving. Christian and Cyrus Jones were both playing DB and both looked like they could develop there. CNS said that only one of them would make the move because of what they bring for the offense. Henry is everything they say he is, he didn't look like a freshman learning the playbook. I also thought that Bateman and del Rio has some promise, they looked pretty comfortable at QB and both have good arms. it was good to see all the injured back on the field, they semed to pick up where they had left off.

There is so much talent on the field, the level of competition at all the positions looks to be very good. One of the better highlights of the day was the 54 yd fg by the freshman kicker Griffith, it landed in the bleachers. Now he duffed his first two tries at it but this young man has a powerful leg and he needs to work  on his consistency. He could have been a little nervous, that's a long field goal.

The team worked on about every phase of the game and I thought they looked decent for no more practices than they have had but CNS had different thoughts. One player was removed from practice, I won't call any names. Per CNS it was because of the lack of productive effort. CNS used the blinking light analogy of the player and you don't ever want to be the blinking light. I did see one injury, Trey Depreist, it might be bad enough to end his spring practice. It was his foot or ankle.

ADay should be fun to watch this year with all of the young talent and I hope all of you can make it to the game.RTR!!

The receivers from last year looked very good, including the ones back from injuries, made some good catches in tough situations. Norwood is still limping from his surgery. Falkins caught my eye as well as Howard. Other than catching the ball is all I could give an opinion of on the young receivers, I'm sure there were some busted routes and missed blocks by the freshmen. AJ made a couple of beautiful deep passes that had the crowd cheering. I also noticed Jai Miller on defense, he practiced like he wanted to be out there this fall. CNS they were short on corner backs and they need someone to step up and help there.

CNS removing somebody from practice is kind of scary. He must have really been dragging. I always thought after AJ and his little tap on the sitting place, then everybody would behave. lol, RTR!

I need to make a correction on the field goal kicked by Griffith. The line of scrimmage was the 44 yd line and the kick landed on the 4th row of the end zone. That's the longest field goal I've ever seen kicked.

 :o  :o  :o

Are you saying this was a 44 + 10 + 7 = 61 yard FG that made it to the 4th row of the end zone seats?  WOW!
